Epworth Work Day Offering

Next Sunday, our congregation will receive the Annual Epworth Work Day Offering. This long-standing tradition began when Methodists were challenged to give a day's wages to support the children at Epworth. Today, that same spirit of generosity continues as we support children, youth, and families served through Epworth's ministries across South Carolina. As you prayerfully consider your gift, remember Christ's command to let the little children come to him. Through your generosity, you become part of a ministry that offers hope, healing, and a brighter future to those who need it most. Thank you for partnering with Epworth to bring hope and healing to children, youth, and families across our state. For more information, visit www.epworthsc.org.

Nursery Playground Meeting

Before moving forward with the next phase of remodeling the nursery playground, we would like to give everyone an opportunity to share their ideas for the space. If you would like to share your thoughts on what should be done with the nursery playground, please join us in the conference room next Sunday, September 13th, directly after the 11 am service. If you cannot attend this meeting but would like to share your ideas, please email the office your written ideas by September 10th so that they can be shared at the meeting (leesvilleunitedmethodistchurch@gmail.com).

Jessica McCormick will give a presentation about her family's multi-state adventure this summer. Following the presentation, lunch will be provided. If you would like to attend, please sign-up on one of the sheets at church so we will know how much food to prepare. Deadline to sign up is Sunday, September 20. Sign-up sheets are outside the sanctuary and in the Fellowship Hall foyer.

Connections Ministry

Homebound-ministry-caring-hands.jpg

Each person is made in the image of God and is an important part of our church congregation. Many have served faithfully over the years to guide and ground us in the faith.  However, age and poor health can begin to separate us from our beloved church family. Our Connections Ministry seeks to restore this relationship by reaching out to our elderly members and those with medical conditions who cannot regularly attend church. We hope to begin providing regular contact, including phone calls, cards, visits, and prayer support in the near future. If you know of a member who would benefit from this ministry, please give this person’s contact information to the church office. We look forward to this new ministry opportunity as we seek to better shine the light of God’s love in our church family.
